Every time we get behind the wheel, we rarely think of the dangers that wait on the road. Gladly, most people never know the tragedy that can occur if a passenger vehicle is involved in a collision with a large truck, like a commercial truck or eighteen wheeler. Recently, a passenger van was traveling on Atlanta’s Tacoma Drive when it was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer. The driver and 4 passengers have been reported as seriously injured to the point of critical condition although their current health condition is unknown.
They injuries of course were sustained in the crash with the tractor trailer. It was daylight at the time of the truck accident; it happened at approximately 10 a.m. when the driver’s van passed through the intersection of Marietta Boulevard and Tacoma drive. According to reports, the light was green when the woman passed through the intersection and it is not known at this time what caused the vehicle and the truck to collide.
However, the Atlanta police is conducting a full investigation. The details of that report will certainly help to determine cause and thus, fault, for the terrible injuries the driver and passengers sustained that day. The first priority is of course, to get well and prioritize their health. After a person’s health stabilizes to an acceptable level they may start to consider their options as far as recovering damages due to negligent or careless acts of another.
Trucking accidents are often avoidable and an unnecessary source of pain for Atlanta families. The experience can leave lasting and undesirable affects for those who were injured. For those lasting injuries and resounding impacts, a person could be held accountable. A personal injury suit may be a way to recoup some of what you or a loved one has lost in a truck accident.
