Theresa Hegstetter RN, LNC

Theresa comes to the firm with more than 20 years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical, Post Anesthesia and Critical Care, as well as Nurse Management. She also has extensive experience as a Legal Nurse Consultant, not only as a testifying expert, but also as a medico-legal case analyst. Theresa is a current member of American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN); and former President of the North Central Florida Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses (1992). She has served on the following committees: Hospital Myocardial Infarction Management Committee, Cartersville Medical Center (2005); and Unit Emergency Preparedness Committee (1996) and Unit Quality Assurance/Improvement Committee (Co-Chair, 1993), Shands Hospital at University of Florida. In 1998, she was the recipient of the Nurse Excellence Award from Shands Hospital at University of Florida. Theresa is the Author/Director of a Preoperative Orthopedic Patient Teaching Video entitled, "What to expect following hip replacement surgery" (1997).
