J. Hoyt Young, M.D, ESQ.
Hoyt Young is an integral part of the Malone Law Litigation Team. He began working with Malone Law in 1992. Hoyt brings a wide breadth of experience and unique expertise to Malone Law in that he is not only an attorney, but also a physician. Before becoming a lawyer, Dr. Young practiced medicine for 16 years in family practice and emergency medicine. His experience and expertise help immensely in formulating medical malpractice cases and product liability cases.
Dr. Young received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University in Atlanta. He received is juris doctorate from Georgia State University in 1987. He did his internship and residency in medicine at Emory Hospital and other affiliated hospitals. Dr. Young has received numerous awards throughout his lifetime including AmJur Award and one for highest grade in (1) Wills, Trusts and Estates; (2) Law, Science and Medicine and (3) Comparative Law. Other awards include: National Methodist Scholar, Avalon Scholar: Ford Career Scholar, National Champion, Discussion Debate; Delta Sigma Rho‑Tau Kappa Alpha, President (Forensic Honorary); Alpha Epsilon Upsilon (Scholastic Honorary); Alpha Epsilon Delta (Pre-Medical Honorary); The Barkley Forum Foundation (Forensic Honorary).
